It was my last night in Gstaad, which lead to a few more glasses of champagne…
The folowing morning, we all woke up with a minor hangover to say the least, and slowly made our way down to the village for a little brunch before having to say our sad goodbyes and catch my train into Zurich.
The waitress at the Hotel we were eating at presented us with three menus, which we politely declined, as we all new what we wanted (or rather needed).
20 minutes later, (and a glass of Rose) we were presented with the most scrumptious looking meal.
The rosti was cooked to perfection – beautifully golden brown and crisp on the outside but with a soft and tender inside. Gratinated with Taleggio and topped with a fried egg and extra crispy bacon. Absolutely delicious!

Will be trying to replicate this meal very soon…so will post the recipe as soon as I do!
